AMERICAN GAMER is a high energy film about professional video game players, and the competitive world of e-Sports. The film blends interviews of top professional gamers with stunning machinima animation gaming footage to bring the world's largest e-Sports tournament to life. AMERICAN GAMER was shot at the Cyberathlete Professional League's 7th annual summer tournament in Dallas, TX. The film is directed and edited by James Boyd, Director of Photography is Robert Stenger, original music by Jeff Hefti, and extra camera by Kevin Potter and John Behrens. Additional footage was shot at tournaments in San Francisco and Long Beach, CA. AMERICAN GAMER operates two Counter-Strike™ gaming servers, with attendance by over 30,000 gamers. The AG trailer has received over 65,000 downloads to date, and the third and final trailer was released on the AmericanGamer.org website today. Additionally, the 6161 film crew will be traveling to New York City in November to promote AMERICAN GAMER at the CPL's World Tour finals.
